Ghana Ministries is a Christ-centered Christian ministry. Our faith is the foundation of who we are, why we serve, and how we carry out our mission.
We believe the Gospel transforms lives. We seek to remain faithful to Scripture, dependent upon the Holy Spirit, centered on Jesus Christ, and committed to demonstrating His love through both our words and our actions.
We affirm the following beliefs:
THE HOLY TRINITY
We believe in one true and living God, eternal, holy, loving, all-powerful, and the Creator and Sustainer of all things.
God exists eternally in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—one God in nature, power, and glory.
THE BIBLE
We believe the Old and New Testaments are the inspired and infallibly written Word of God, inerrant in their original manuscripts and authoritative for Christian faith and life.
Scripture reveals God’s character, His plan of redemption through Jesus Christ, and His purposes for humanity. We believe the Bible contains all things necessary for salvation and stands above all human authority in matters of Christian faith and doctrine.
JESUS CHRIST
We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully human.
He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, lived without sin, and willingly gave His life on the cross as the atoning sacrifice for the sins of humanity.
Jesus was bodily raised from the dead, ascended into heaven, and now intercedes for us before the Father.
We believe He will personally return in victory and fulfill God’s purposes for creation.
THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe the Holy Spirit is fully and eternally God. The Holy Spirit is actively at work in the world, convicting people of sin and drawing them toward God. He brings new spiritual life to those who place their faith in Christ and works within believers to assure, guide, sanctify, strengthen, and empower them.
Through the presence and power of the Holy Spirit, believers are equipped to live lives that honor God and to serve Him faithfully.
HUMANITY & SIN
We believe every person is created in the image of God and therefore possesses God-given dignity, value, and worth.
Humanity was created for relationship with God, but sin has broken that relationship. Every person is affected by sin and is in need of God’s saving grace.
We believe sin separates humanity from God and that Jesus Christ is the only sufficient remedy for sin and the only way of reconciliation with God.
Because every person bears God’s image, we are called to treat others with love, dignity, compassion, and respect.
GOD’S GRACE & OUR RESPONSE
We believe God’s grace reaches toward every person.
Before we seek God, He is already at work drawing us toward Himself. Through this grace, God enables every person to respond to His offer of salvation.
We believe people have both the ability and responsibility to respond to God’s grace, to repent of sin, and to place their faith in Jesus Christ.
God desires that all people receive His grace, experience forgiveness, and be reconciled to Him.
THE ATONEMENT
We believe Jesus Christ willingly suffered and died on the cross for the sins of the whole world.
His sacrifice is the only sufficient atonement for humanity’s sin and makes forgiveness, reconciliation with God, and salvation available to every person.
The benefits of Christ’s atonement are received through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ.
SALVATION & NEW LIFE
We believe salvation is a gift of God’s grace and cannot be earned through human effort or good works.
Those who repent of their sin and place their faith in Jesus Christ are forgiven and justified before God, spiritually reborn through the work of the Holy Spirit, and adopted into the family of God.
The Holy Spirit gives believers assurance that they belong to God.
Salvation is not merely forgiveness of the past. It begins a transformed life in which believers follow Jesus Christ and increasingly reflect His character.
SANCTIFICATION & HOLY LIVING
We believe God’s purpose is not only to forgive us but to transform us and make us holy.
Sanctification begins when a person is justified and given new life in Christ. From that point, believers are called to continually grow in grace, obedience, and Christlike character through the work of the Holy Spirit.
We believe God calls believers to fully surrender themselves to Him and that, through faith, the Holy Spirit can purify the heart and empower believers to love God wholeheartedly and love others as Christ has loved us. This work of entire sanctification is followed by continued lifelong growth in grace and spiritual maturity.
A life transformed by Christ should increasingly demonstrate love, integrity, compassion, humility, purity, generosity, obedience, and service.
CONTINUING IN FAITH
We believe followers of Christ are called to continue in faith, obedience, and dependence upon God’s grace.
We do not believe that a person reaches a spiritual condition in this life from which falling into sin becomes impossible.
When a believer falls into sin, God’s grace continues to offer forgiveness and restoration to those who genuinely repent and return to faith in Jesus Christ.
THE CHURCH
We believe the Church is the body of Christ and includes all who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church.
The Church is called to worship God, proclaim the Gospel, make disciples, teach God’s Word, care for those in need, pursue holiness, live in Christian fellowship, and demonstrate the love of Christ throughout the world.
We believe followers of Jesus should actively participate in the life and mission of His Church.
BAPTISM & THE LORD’S SUPPER
We believe water baptism and the Lord’s Supper are sacraments established by Jesus Christ for His Church and are means through which God’s grace is ministered to believers when received through faith.
Baptism is a sign of the new covenant of grace and a public declaration of faith in Jesus Christ.
The Lord’s Supper reminds us of Christ’s sacrificial death, celebrates the unity of believers, and points forward to His victorious return.
As a ministry rather than a local church, Ghana Ministries recognizes these sacraments as belonging within the life and ministry of Christ’s Church.
THE GREAT COMMISSION
We believe Jesus Christ has called His followers to make disciples of all nations.
Sharing the Gospel is therefore central to the mission of Ghana Ministries.
We seek to share Christ through what we say, how we live, and how we serve. Caring for physical, educational, medical, emotional, and practical needs is an important expression of Christ’s love, but acts of service do not replace the responsibility to share the Gospel and make disciples.
Our desire is for those we serve not only to experience the love of Christ through us, but ultimately to know and follow Him personally.
CHILDREN & FAMILY
We believe children are created in the image of God, deeply valued by Him, and worthy of love, protection, dignity, care, and opportunity.
We believe caring for children involves more than meeting their immediate physical needs. Children should be nurtured spiritually, emotionally, physically, relationally, and educationally and prepared for responsible adulthood.
We believe God’s design for marriage is a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman and that the family is foundational to the nurture, development, and spiritual formation of children.
Our desire is to help develop Christ-centered young men and women who are prepared to build strong families, lead with purpose, serve others, and positively influence future generations.
CHRISTIAN SERVICE & STEWARDSHIP
We believe genuine faith in Jesus Christ should produce a life characterized by love, obedience, generosity, and service.
Good works do not earn salvation. Rather, they flow from a life transformed by God’s grace.
We believe Christians are called to care for those in need, protect the vulnerable, pursue justice and mercy, practice generosity, and faithfully steward the time, abilities, relationships, opportunities, and resources God has entrusted to them.
We seek to serve in ways that uphold human dignity, encourage responsibility, strengthen communities, and create opportunities for lasting change.
CHRIST’S RETURN, RESURRECTION & JUDGMENT
We believe Jesus Christ will personally return in victory.
We believe in the bodily resurrection of all people and that every person will ultimately stand before God in judgment.
Christ’s return will bring the final triumph of God’s Kingdom over sin and evil.
The certainty of His return calls us to holy living, faithful service, and urgency in sharing the Gospel with others.
ETERNITY
We believe eternal life is found through Jesus Christ.
Those who are reconciled to God through Christ will experience eternal life with Him, while those who remain separated from God will face eternal separation from Him.
Our hope rests in Jesus Christ, His resurrection, His promised return, and the ultimate restoration and victory God has promised.

These beliefs are more than words we affirm. They shape how Ghana Ministries serves, leads, partners, disciples children, makes decisions, and stewards everything God has entrusted to us.
